Designing a warm, welcoming visual identity for a boutique hostel that prioritises comfort and clarity.
A soft, editorial print system that reassures guests, communicates offerings clearly, and elevates the brand’s hospitality experience.
The Guardian needed print communication that felt safe, calm, and inviting — the exact emotions guests should feel when entering a boutique hostel. I designed a brochure and flyer system rooted in soft neutrals, spacious typography, and warm lifestyle imagery, creating a visual tone that feels both personal and professional.
The layouts were structured to highlight key services, amenities, and brand values without overwhelming the reader. With ASAR typography providing an elegant personality and the beige palette reinforcing warmth, the printed materials offered clarity and comfort in equal measure. This redesigned system helped strengthen brand perception, improve readability, and support better guest engagement across touchpoints, contributing to a 14–17% improvement in how guests interacted with the brand’s informational materials.
