Designing a brand identity that blends Indian street-heritage with boutique sophistication.
A minimal visual system rooted in cultural cues and modern aesthetics, created to help a tea brand stand out in both café and retail spaces.
The Kulhad Co.—a tea brand inspired by chai-stall nostalgia—wanted a new identity that felt premium without losing its Indian soul.
I developed a visual system anchored by a hand-drawn kulhad outline, Devanagari-inspired lettering, and a refined palette of terracotta, gold, and ivory. The result: a design that’s minimal but expressive, cultural but elevated. Packaging mock-ups and brand applications followed—eco-friendly takeaway cups, café signage, coasters—bringing the identity into real world touch-points. The new visual language framed the brand as heritage-edged boutique, helping it gain stronger shelf presence and brand recognition.
